Build on the Construction Site
The Habitat construction site is open year-round. We welcome both skilled and unskilled volunteers on site and we provide all of the necessary tools, though you are free to bring your own if you prefer. To sign up to volunteer (click here) If you wish to volunteer with a group, please sign up as far in advance as possible to secure a date. Once you have signed up, you will receive all of the details you need to know about how to have a great volunteer experience with OCHFH.
You can help by:
- Swinging a hammer and performing other construction tasks
- Leading crews of volunteers
- Providing hospitality by making lunch for our volunteers

Join the ReStore Team
The Oneida County Habitat ReStore is always in need of volunteers. The ReStore accepts new and gently used donations of building materials, appliances, fixtures and more, and resells them to the public at a reduced price. All proceeds from the restore benefits Oneida County HFH Affordable Housing Programs.
ReStore volunteers are needed to:
- Clean, move and organize inventory
- Pick up donations in the ReStore truck
- Assist customers
